Jamaat Ahmadiyya al Mouslemeen FRIDAY SERMON of Hazrat Amirul Momeneen Zafrullah Domun 12 March 2010 At
Bait-ul-Rahma Mosque
After reciting the Tauz, the Tashahhud and the first chapter of the Holy Quran Imam Zafrullah Domun said: A few times I have thought that I would not speak against the mainstream Ahmadiyya leadership. During such moments I do not read their newspaper Al-Fazl because I want to keep aloof from what their leader is saying. Then it so happens that I will read or hear about a recent declaration of the caliph and I cannot maintain my self-imposed silence. So I am bound to comment on what he says because I think that what he says is not according to the teachings of Hazrat Masih Maood as. Last week in his Friday Sermon the caliph spoke about the earthquakes that have been hitting several parts of the world since the beginning of the year. According to the summary of his speech in English published on www.alislam.org all these calamities are the consequences of the appearance of the Messiah and his rejection by the people. He said that the Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas prophesized about such calamities which is in fact true. We cannot deny it. However Hazrat Ahmad as also said that in future there will be people who would come from Allah. But we do not hear the caliph mentioning this. However, unfortunately, the mainstream Jamaat Ahmadiyya wants the people to believe that the future needs of the Jamaat in this regard will be fulfilled by the reigning caliphs. In several of our articles and Friday sermons we have argued against this position of the mainstream Jamaat and we have said that such a conclusion does not automatically follow from the writings of Hazrat Masih Maood as. Besides several times I have challenged the mainstream Jamaat’s ulemas to refute my arguments but unfortunately until now no one has dared to do so. In one extract of his writings Hazrat Masih Maood as said:
“If it is true that God, the Exalted, has sealed up all blessings and every kind of Imamat (spiritual leadership) and patronage and the ways leading to these are closed altogether, there can be no greater tragedy for the true seekers of God, the Supreme. They are, so to say, as good as dead though living and have nothing in their hands except barren tales, with no substance and truth in them. If the Shias believe this to be true then why do they supplicate in their five daily Prayers: Guide us along the straight path, the path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy favours? For, this prayer plainly means: Lord, favour us with the way that offers approach to Thee which Thou didst grant to the Prophets, the leaders, the righteous and the martyrs. This verse manifestly proclaims that the way to the grant of Imamat (spiritual leadership) is ever open and thus should it be. This humble servant of God has sent out to different countries and towns twenty thousand posters to proclaim the proof of the existence of this way. If this blessing is absent then what excellence does Islam claim (Al-Hakam, March 10, 1902)?” And he further said in his book “Shahadatul Qur’an: “Now it should be remembered that although there are many verses of this kind in the Holy Quran, giving the glad tidings of a perpetual khilafat among the Muslim people, and Hadith is full of reports about this as well, for the moment this much will suffice for those who accept proven facts like a great treasure. There could be no worse misgiving about Islam than to consider it to be a dead religion and to believe its blessings to be limited to only the first generation. Does the Book which opens the door to perpetual blessings teach the disheartening lesson that there is no blessing or khilafat to look forward to, but that all has been left behind? Prophets certainly cannot arise among the Muslims, but if caliphs of the Holy Prophet do not come either, showing the marvels of spiritual life from time to time, then the spirituality of Islam comes to an end. In that case, such a faith can bear no comparison to the spiritual power and glory of the Mosaic religion in which thousands of spiritual caliphs continued to arise over a period of fourteen centuries.” Unfortunately up till now, after more than 100 years the mainstream Ahmadiyya Jamaat has not found it necessary to translate this book in English. The fact is that once this book is translated it will be obvious to all English speaking Ahmadis that the actual Ahmadiyya point of view on Khilafat contradicts that of Hazrat Masih Maood as. Now Hazrat Masih Maood as has taught us that if we are true to the teachings of Islam and we are devoted to Allah as He expects us to be Allah will send down His Favours upon us. He says:
“One who heaves sighs, while supplicating the Bountiful Lord, like
one who has lost his child, entreating acceptance of his prayer by Allah,
the Gracious, with humility and lowliness, while his eyes overflow with
tears, his prayer is verily heard. He is granted a position of honour and
is vouchsafed appropriate guidance. His faith is strengthened with
arguments resplendent like rubies and his heart, hitherto weaker than a
spider's web, is fortified. He is granted excellence of character and is
enabled to observe minute details of piety. He is invited to the table of
the spiritually exalted and to the pure provisions meant for the saintly.
He overcomes at all times every desire, utilizing it under the
superintendence of the law (Shariah) as a vehicle to carry it wherever he
wishes to go, like an expert rider bestriding a docile mount. He desires
not the world nor puts himself in hardship on account of it; nor does he
grovel before its golden calf. Allah is his Guardian and He indeed is the
Guardian of the righteous. His mind is at rest, and has no tendency left
to misguide him to his ruin. It no longer stares at the world like a hawk
glaring at his prey from above. He sees the goals of his journey clearly
like the munificent; his generosity is not niggardly; he is a source of
freshness for others, like clear running water. Allah has urged His
servants to seek of Him perseverance in striving for this position and
steadfastness and ability to reach this eminence, for it is indeed a high
position and an inaccessible objective, attainable by none except through
the grace of their Lord and not at all through the exertions of their
minds. It is, therefore, necessary that the worshipper should proceed to
the Presence of the Lord of Honour, yearning for this prize and beg of Him
success in this endeavour, standing and bowing down and in prostration,
groveling in the dust of humility as the mendicants and the hard-pressed keep supplicating
with outstretched arms (Karamatus
Sadiqeen, pp. 91-93). Again speaking about what Allah has reserved for His servants through Surah Al Fatiha, Hazrat Masih Maood as says: “The prayer: Guide us along the straight path; implies that when human effort reaches its limit, one has to turn to Allah, the Exalted. A prayer is perfect when it comprises every good and safeguards against every evil. The prayer: Guide us along the straight path; comprises every form of good; and: not of those who incurred Thy wrath nor of those who went astray; is a supplication to be safeguarded against every evil, including the wickedness of the Dissembler (Dajjal). Those who incurred Divine wrath are by consensus the Jews and those who went astray are Christians. Obviously, there was a purpose in this supplication being so worded. For, if not, there would be little point in laying so much emphasis on it that there is no Prayer service valid without it. Further, its recital in every rakaat has been made obligatory. The purpose is that it is meant to invite attention to our times. In this age the sirat-i-mustaqeem (the straight path) is the path that is ours (Al-Hakam, Feb. 17, 1901).” Now if we reflect well about these quotations we understand that the invitation to “to the table of the spiritually exalted” is open. Nowhere has the Promised Messiah said that this is reserved to those who would say that they are divinely appointed caliphs. They would be so only if they are elected by Allah through revelations. But unfortunately these days, this is not what is being taught to the members. The ignorant members of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Jamaat are being taught that Allah will cater for the spiritual needs of this Jamaat through Anjuman appointed caliphs. The world knows that since 2007 I have been saying that Allah has made me a guide for the people specially the Ahmadis and Allah has graced me with His revelations. Many of these revelations have been published as well. Among them are the following:
These are some of the revelations that I have received from Allah in the previous months. And several times I am told “Al haqqo mirrabbeka fala takoum menal moumtareen”- meaning “it is the truth from thy Lord; be not of those who doubt”. Similarly previously I received “ Haraamoune alayna an nokazzeba maa anzalallho alayna”- It is forbidden upon us to disbelieve in what Allah sends upon us. These revelations and many others sent to a humble servant of the Promised Messiah prove his words to be true. It shows that the Allah who spoke to him is speaking to one who is trying to walk in his footsteps. Most probably that is why many of the revelations that were received by him have been given to this humble one. Allah has shown that He is true to His words and has raised amongst the followers of the Promised Messiah someone to guide his people. But unfortunately those who have gained control over the minds of innocent Ahmadis are doing their best to prevent the Ahmadis from enjoying the spiritual benefits that Allah has sent for them. Definitely since the beginning of the year there have been many catastrophes that have visited the world. There is no doubt that some of them had been prophesized by Hazrat Masih Maood as. However these days there is also living a humble servant of the Promised Messiahas whom Allah has raised to look after his Jamaat and to be punctiliously loyal to his teachings. This is a great favour of Allah on this Jamaat. And according to the Messiah it is this type of favour that will keep this Jamaat alive spiritually. All other types of favours are nothing compared to this one. Those whose views about religion are formed by hearsay think that because we are not in their system of khilafat we are being deprived. But by the Grace of Allah I say that they are being deprived because they do not understand the real teachings. How unfortunate is a people who denies the Favours of Allah. As far as you are concerned, members of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen, by the Grace of Allah you are in the category of people of whom Allah says in the Holy Qur’an “Wa yaral
lazina outoul ilma allazi ounzela elaika mir rabbeka howal haqqo wa yahdi
ila siraatil azizil hamid “[34:7] Its
translation is “And
those who are given knowledge see that whatever has been revealed to thee
from thy Lord is the truth, and guides unto the path of the Mighty, the
Praiseworthy.” May Allah help each one amongst us to stay on the right path. If anyone thinks that what we are saying is wrong we are open for a dialogue on this subject. But to discuss a matter open-mindedly with the possibility of changing one’s point of view is a sign of those who are bold and who fear no one but Allah. Those who entertained fears in their heart besides Him will not take this path because they prefer darkness to light. And Allah sends guides and messengers to take the people from darkness to light. |
