As I said to you in my previous sermon, in this chapter (al-qamar) Allah repeats the words “Fa kaifa kaana azabi wa nozour” which means “See how terrible was My punishment and how true was My warning” and “fa hal mim muddakir” meaning “Is there anyone to take heed?”

After reciting, Tashahhud, Ta'uz and chapter Al Fatiha of the Holy Quran, Hazrat Amirul Mo'menine Zafrullah Domun recited verses 34 to 41of chapter Al-Qamar (54) of the Holy Quran and then he said:

Today we will continue where we left off in the previous sermon. In this chapter, that is Al-Qamar Allah has reminded all the people of the world, for all times to come to remember what happened to some people of the past who rejected the Warners that He sent to them. We have already spoken about the people of Noah, the tribes of Ad and Thamud. They were completely destroyed because they did not heed the warnings that Allah's prophets who were sent to them, gave them. The three prophets that were sent to these people were Noah, Hud and Salih respectively.

After reminding the people about them and explaining what punishment was sent to them Allah speaks about the people of Lot. He says

Lot 's people also rejected the Warners.

We sent a storm of stones upon them except the family of Lot, whom We delivered by early dawn,

As a favour from US. Thus do We reward him who is grateful.

And he, indeed, had warned them of Our severe punishment, but they doubted the warning.

And they deceitfully sought to turn him away from his guests. So We blinded their eyes, and said, 'Taste ye now My punishment and My warning.'

And there came upon them early in the morning a lasting punishment.

'Now taste ye My punishment and My warning.'

And, indeed, We have made the Quran easy to remember. But is there anyone who will take heed?

Once again Allah tells us about what was the end of those who did not heed His Warning. They received punishment when they expected it not. It would be foolish on our part if we ever thought that these warnings were meant only for people of the past and not for those who would come either after the Holy Prophet Mohammad saw or even after Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as, the Promised Messiah and Mahdi. As I said to you in my previous sermon, in this chapter Allah repeats the words “Fa kaifa kaana azabi wa nozour” which means “See how terrible was My punishment and how true was My warning” and “fa hal mim muddakir” meaning “Is there anyone to take heed?” Since the teachings, the message, the lessons of the Holy Quran are there for all the peoples who will be born till the end of times, therefore its warnings are as good today as it was in the past and they will be relevant in the future as well. Out of love for humanity Allah will continue to send them guides or warners to lead them to the right path and to save them from hell. But unfortunately as their predecessors, a majority of the people will continue to reject the message of the warners and guides. As the Holy Quran has said it is as if they have bequeathed this to the succeeding generations.

Next in this chapter Allah speaks about the people of Hazrat Musa as. Allah says:

“And, surely, to the people of Pharaoh also came Warners. They rejected all Our Signs. So We seized them like the seizing of the Mighty, the Powerful.”

Pharaoh and his people saw many signs from Allah. In fact the Holy Quran speaks about nine main signs that were given to them. They are as follows: (1) the rod (7:108), (2) the white hand (7:109), (3) drought (7:131), (4) scarcity of fruits (7:131), (5) the storm, (6) the locusts, (7) the lice, (8) the frogs and (9) the punishment of blood. When we read the Holy Quran we understand that Allah was very patient with them. But eventually despite all these signs from Allah, Pharaoh and his people did not believe and Allah says that He destroyed them. Then Allah says:

“Are your disbelievers better than those? Or, have you immunity in the Scriptures?”

Some people always labor under the delusion that they are different from those disbelievers of the past. But elsewhere Allah says “tashabahat qoloubohoum”, that is “their hearts are similar to one another”. Others, like the mainstream Ahmadis of these days, say that they have a very good understanding of the Holy Quran. They have a caliph. He is doing what is expected of him from the Holy Quran and so to say, he and his people “have an immunity in the Book of Allah.” But unfortunately for them they have none. They have gone against the Holy Quran and against the teachings of Hazrat Masih Maood as. They believe in a khilafat of their own making and reject the one that Allah has sent down for them. Allah continues in this chapter and He says:

“Do they say, 'We are a victorious host?'

The hosts shall soon be routed and shall turn their backs in flight.

Aye, the Hour is their promised time; and the Hour will be most calamitous for them and most bitter.

Surely, the guilty are in manifest error and suffer from madness.

On the day when they will be dragged into the Fire on their faces, it will be said to them, 'Taste ye the touch of Hell.'

Verily, We have created everything in due measure. And Our command is carried out by only one Word as the twinkling of an eye.

And, indeed, We have destroyed people like you before. But is there anyone who will take heed?

And everything they have done is recorded in the Books.

And every matter, small and great, is written down.

Verily, the righteous will be in the midst of Gardens and streams,

In an eternal and honored abode in the presence of the Omnipotent King.”

In fact as I have said previously the present Ahmadiyya caliph has been going around the world during this year relaying one message. Wherever he has gone he has tried to impress upon his audience of Ahmadis that they have been blessed to accept the Imam of the Age (Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as) and that Allah promised them khilafat and that up till now they are still enjoying its blessings. In addition he wants all his people to believe that his notion of khilafat is that it will go until the end of times. In his last day speech of the Annual Convention in London in the end of July this year he said that an Ahmadi had written to say that from the Hadith about khilafat in Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal it is said that the Holy Prophet saw kept silent after saying: “there will be khilafat on the path of prophethood” (khilafat ala minhaj nabuwwat). According to that Ahmadi brother the Holy Prophet saw did not say that khilafat will be for ever. The caliph, in his speech rebuked that Ahmadi for having such a notion and he even warned him to beware of his iman for entertaining such ideas. He further said that since Hazrat Masih Maood as has said that it will go until the end of times, therefore it would be so. Of course this is a paraphrase of what he said.

If someone were to ask me if Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as has said that khilafat will be eternal (daimi), my reply will be a resounding yes. But as I have explained with quotations from the writings of Hazrat Masih Maood as in my Friday sermon of 6th June 2008 there is a big gulf between what Hazrat Masih considers khilafat to be and what the Establishment of the Jamaat wants its members to believe khilafat to be. The Jamaat's present Establishment wants the members to believe that Khilafat has been re-established in Jamaat Ahmadiyya after about 1300 years. But Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as has said that it is stupid to entertain such a belief. Similarly the Jamaat wants to perpetuate the myth that its prevailing system of khilafat will bring about the necessary reforms within the Jamaat but Hazrat Masih Maood as has told us that corruption starts to find its way in all spiritual Jamaats about eighty years after the death of the founder or his caliph. Similarly according to Hazrat Masih Maood as, someone is given the Robe of Khilafat directly by Allah, but the Jamaat wants Ahmadis to believe that Allah works behind the scene for the election of a caliph and hence the caliph is appointed by Allah. If I am not mistaken the Christians also have such a belief about their pope and his election.

The present caliph is saying that Ahmadis will know Allah only if they remain loyal to this system of Khilafat. But Hazrat Masih Maood as has told us that if we are true to the teachings of Allah and we try to walk in the footpath of the Holy Prophet Mohammad saw, Allah will clothe us with the Robe of Khilafat. In my previous sermons I have given plenty of quotations from the writings of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as to support the above affirmations. I even went so far as to invite the whole Ahmadiyya world to refute me on these points if they truly think that “they have any immunity from the scripture” as Allah has said in the chapter under discussion.

Recently I learnt that an Ahmadi said that the caliph is too busy to reply to people like me. Fine. If your caliph is so busy as not to be able to remove misconceptions about the beliefs of the Ahmadis, what is he here for then? Is he here to roam the world to attend Jalsa and to vehicle erroneous ideas about Ahmadiyyat? Or to tell the non Muslims about what Islam preaches but Ahmadis do not practice? Or to speak about the slogan “Love for all hatred for none” which is only a meaningless slogan within Jamaat Ahmadiyya devoid of any practical meaning? Or to propagate some wrong notions about khilafat and to open mosques? If the caliph of the Ahmadis is not here to remove misconceptions about beliefs what is he here for? I suggest that you read or re-read the booklet by Hazrat Masih Maood asThe need for the Imam”. You will have an idea what are the duties of the imam.

It is quite unfortunate that the majority of Ahmadis are in this Jamaat because they have been born into it. They do not care to learn about what Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as stood for. They content themselves with spoon feeding. They do not know and they do not want to know. They have a tendency to think that the caliph is here, we are safe. There is no need to worry about anything else. But this is not at all what Hazrat Masih Maood as came to teach us. Hazrat Masih has taught us that we should delve deep into the Holy Quran and ask Allah to teach us the wisdom of the Book. Such knowledge will liberate us from sins, from dogmas, from superstitions and from unislamic beliefs also. Therefore more than ever before there is a need for the dissemination of the teachings of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as within this very Jamaat. Our present generation is ignorant of these noble teachings and that is why we see that their behavior is so far away from our basic teachings.

Recently I read on the net about the abuses that Ahmadis have heaped on an ex Ahmadi because the latter has renounced Ahmadiyyat and he is airing his views on You-Tube. The teachings of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as are very clear on this matter. He says

“You are bound to be persecuted in diverse ways, and many of your hopes will be denied to you, but in such cases you should not grieve, for the Lord, your God will put you through trials to test whether or not you remain firm. If you desire that the angels in heaven should sing your praises, then take the beating many people shall give you and rejoice; hear abuse and give thanks to your Lord; experience disappointments but do not break away from Him. You are the last people of Allah. Practice good to the extent where it reaches its highest perfection.”(Our Teachings page 7)

This is how we have been taught to behave. How sad it is that those belonging to this pure Jamaat of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as should behave in such a way that they discredit the Jamaat. Fortunately for us members of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen, Allah has removed us from the main Jamaat that is slowly abandoning the teachings that they received and on Wednesday last Allah revealed to me:

yaa ayyohal lazina amanouz korou ni'matallahé alaikoum wa anni fazzaltokoum alal aalameen

Translation : “O ye who believe remember the Favours of Allah upon you; He has exalted you above all the people”

This revelation is addressed particularly to members of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen. Since they have believed in the one who has been sent by Allah, they have been exalted above all the people by Allah.

May Allah enable each one amongst us to diligently follow the teachings that we have received. We know without any shadow of doubt that our brothers and sisters from the mainstream Jamaat are not true to the original teachings of Hazrat Masih Maood as. We should pray that Allah open their eyes before they meet Him incha Allah.

Yesterday I received an email dated 15th October that has been circulated to subscribers of the mainstream Jamaat's egazette. This email has been signed by Dr Naseem Rehmatullah. He is also the chairman of Ahmadiyya Internet Committee. In the email he says among other things:

“Recently there have been emails circulating from munafiqeen (hypocrites) in an attempt to undermine the institution of Khilafat. Readers are advised not to pay attention to them and not to forward these on to others.

Please review the following at the links below:

Warning of Khalifatul Masih I, Hadhrat Maulana Hakeem Nuruddin (ra) for munafiqeen in Urdu

Khilafat and Mujaddidiyyat (By Hadhrat Hafiz Mirza Nasir Ahmad (rh) Khalifatul Masih III)”

I have sent him a nice email in response to what he had said because recently I have been telling some Ahmadis in the USA about what Allah has been telling me. I have asked him to show certain broadmindedness as we have been taught by Hazrat Masih Maood as. I have circulated my reply to some people here and abroad. Anyone who would like to know what I have said to him may request for the reply and it will be mailed to him/her Incha Allah.
