Jamaat Ahmadiyya al Mouslemeen FRIDAY SERMON of Hazrat Amirul Momeneen Zafrullah Domun 21 January 2011 At
Bait-ul-Rahma Mosque
After
reciting the Tashahhud, the Ta’uz and the first chapter of Al Fatiha Imam Zafrullah Domun said: Allah
is Merciful. He wants all of us to tread the path of righteousness so that we
might enjoy a large portion of His Mercy. He is our Creator and He cares for
our welfare. In order to help all he sent us prophets from time to time and in
different places. This is why according to some hadith it is said that about
124,000 prophets have been sent. In the end Allah sent Hazrat Mohammad saw
“as a mercy for mankind” in order to help people to know the path that leads to
Him. Although most people do not indulge themselves in the major sins yet we
know from what we observe that very few people take to the true path of
righteousness in all their dealings in life. Even when the Holy Prophet
saw came with the most perfect teachings we see that less than thirty
years after his death there were strife in the Muslim umma and divisions began
to appear. Problems that made their appearance in those early days still linger
on until today. The most flagrant example is the strife that still exists
between Sunnis and Shias within the Muslim umma. As if these two major
divisions were not enough, the umma has already split into more than 73 sects.
Apparently according to a hadith this splintering also was foretold by the Holy
Prophet saw. So despite the fact that all Muslims say that they
adhere to the Islamic credo yet they are divided because of some beliefs which
are particular to each group or sect. Sometimes
one may ask why is it that such a thing happens. It will be difficult to find
an answer. But there are some verses of the Holy Quran that may give us a clue
about what is the cause of all this strife and contention that go on for ages.
Allah says “Qoul Koulloun ya’malo ala shaakelatehi farabbokoum a’lamon be
man howa ahda sabila” which is translated as “Say, ‘everyone acts according to
his own way, and your Lord knows full well who is best guided” (17:85).The
Arabic word shakelatehi has been translated as “his own way”. But this
translation does not bring out the full meaning of the word. Other translators
have suggested “the way he is”. Anyhow what I want to say is that everyone will
tell you that he is well guided and he knows better. In fact this is what the
Barelvis say to the Wahhabis. This is what the Sunnis say to the Shia and vice
versa. And this is what all the 72 sects said when they banded together to
declare Ahmadis to be a Non Muslim minority in 1974. And today the mainstream
Jamaat Ahmadiyya is doing the same thing with those people which it has thrown
out of its fold. Jamaat Ahmadiyya like all the other groups before it is saying
to some people who are guided by Allah that they are misguided. But besides
Allah no one knows who is well guided because He says “your Lord knows full
well who is best guided”. Furthermore if Allah confirms this guidance through
revelations from Him who will oppose and persist in opposition but those who
lack the necessary understanding that Allah gives. Had Jamaat Ahmadiyya been well
guided it would not have acted the way it has. It would have cared not to
exaggerate its number around the world to begin with. In other words it would
have adopted the virtue of speaking truly without any taint of falsehood. Does
not Allah warn the Jews in the Holy Quran when it says: “And confound not truth with falsehood nor hide the truth, knowingly.” (2:43) and “O People of the Book! Why
do you confound truth with falsehood and hide the truth knowingly? ” (3:72) Speaking the truth under all
circumstances is a virtue that has been taught to us since we were children.
But unfortunately Jamaat Ahmadiyya mainstream like the Jews of yore prefers to
adamantly stick to an opinion although it knows in its heart of heart that it
is false. So we in Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen we will oppose all the types
of falsehood that are promulgated as truth within Jamaat Ahmadiyya. Our first
Jihad is to fight falsehood and all those who are its proponents whether they
are caliphs, amirs, secretaries, missionaries in charge or simple missionaries,
sadrs and what not. Our task is to uphold truth and to denounce those who want
to dilute it to meet their own worldly ends and tarnish the reputation of
Hazrat Masih Maood as and the Holy Prophet Mohammad saw.
The Jamaat thinks it is well guided but the Holy Quran, the Sunna of the Holy
Prophet Mohammadsaw and the teachings of the Promised Messiah are
witnesses against their total misguidance. One
may ask “how come that a Jamaat which was on the right track should have swerved
from the right path?” This is a legitimate question. Consequently Hazrat Masih
Maood as has elaborated on this point quite lengthily. He has told
us repeatedly that all Jamaats grow old and they become decrepit like human
beings. Allah makes provision for this by sending from time to time as needed
His chosen ones to remove the people from the darkness in which they like to
dwell and bring them to light. That is the manifestation of His Mercy because
He does not like His creatures to dwell in darkness. This is the practice of
Allah that has been going on since time immemorial and this is what will go on
till the end of times. All the dirt that accumulates on the teachings and
beliefs are removed through the pure cleansing water of revelation that become
manifest through the arrival of divinely-guided people. But those who control
the Jamaat will always look with an evil eye on those who would say that they
have been divinely appointed. One verse from the Holy Quran says: Evil is that for which they have sold their souls: that they
should disbelieve in what Allah has revealed, grudging that Allah should send
down His grace on whomsoever of His servants He pleases. So they incurred wrath
upon wrath; and there is a humiliating chastisement for the disbelievers.
(2:91) In this verse Allah is
speaking of the Jews. But did not the prophet say that later on Muslims will
resemble Jews. So the mentality of Jews vis a vis the appointees of Allah
manifest itself from time to time as it is doing nowadays amongst the Ahmadis.
Ahmadis are resenting that Allah has favored another person above them or their
leaders. They dislike that Allah’s Grace should fall upon one whom He loves.
But Allah does not care at all about what the Ahmadis think especially if they are
not following the path of righteousness. There is no denying the fact they
think that they practice righteousness. But it is Allah who knows who is really
righteous. In another verse Allah says: “Do men think that they will be
left alone because they say, ‘We believe,’ and that they will not be tested? (29:3) And We did test those who were
before them. So Allah will surely distinguish those who are truthful and He
will surely distinguish the liars from the truthful. 29:4] No one sits on his laurels.
If you say you believe Allah will test you to check how far you believe. Why does He send these test?
So that He might distinguish amongst those who are truthful and those who are
not. The truthfuls confirm their Iman through the trials that are
brought to bear upon them. But those who are liars they will fail the trials.
So when Allah, loyal to His Promise raises someone to help His servants those
who respond to this caller are the truthful and those who reject are the liars.
In fact people have argued that the arrival of someone from Allah creates lots
of problems in society as it has been happening these days in Mauritius. But
Allah says that He sends that person as a Mercy. Then why is that strife. The
strife does not come from the person that has been sent or from his followers.
It always comes from those who oppose them. Had these people been following the
straight path they would have immediately understood that if someone comes then
there is a divine manifestation because this has been the Sunna of Allah. But
most of the people who create trouble and strife are those who are the
prisoners of their own sin-prone self. Since these people have been paying lip
service to the commandments of Allah and they have not at all cared to be
purified of their dross therefore the evil that was hidden in their heart start
manifesting itself. So Allah sends someone so that He makes manifest who
responds to His call and who rejects it. Those who respond will be amply
rewarded as per the words of the Holy Quran and those who reject will meet the
end of the rejecters as explained in the Holy Quran. So it is crystal clear that
once Allah manifests Himself through one of His Nominees the path of guilty
ones manifests itself. Has this happened here in Mauritius? The answer is a
resounding Yes. Those who used to be friends became enemies overnight. Sisters
became estranged from other brothers and sisters. Fathers stayed aloof from
their children. All this happened because the evil that was hidden in hearts no
longer stayed in hearts. This evil had to be displayed in broad daylight so
that the path of the guilty ones might be made clear for all to see. Allah’s
representatives never spread any type of hate within society. They are here to
make people better. They are here to bring out the best in humankind. But
unfortunately, for their opponents, it is the time to show their pettiness,
ugliness of character and their inhumanity. In Mauritius most Ahmadis contrary
to what was expected have shown ample proofs of all these evil traits in their
character. Before ending I want to make
something very clear. I do not have any quarrel with any Ahmadis. Yes I do
oppose some of their beliefs and their methods. I know that most Ahmadis are
quite helpless. They erroneously believe that their most distinctive quality is
slavish obedience to those in authority above them. This is their limited
understanding of Islam. As far as I am concerned I publish what I have to say.
It is on the net and in my booklets which I have circulated. I have said that
if someone wants to correspond with me to ask for clarifications I will be
ready to oblige. But I am not at all ready to reply to emails sent to me by
those who are impudent, puffed up with an importance that they do not have and
who think that they are here to lecture me about what I should do or not do. I
will not engage in any kind of correspondence with such people. Those who think
that I am a cheat, a liar, an imposter should be bold enough to openly publish
what they are saying and let the world know that they are accusing me of these
things. Hazrat Masih Maood as came to make us courageous Muslims. If
we have something to say let us say it openly. Let us come in the open. You
want to oppose me and show the hollowness of my claim be most welcome in the
field and let the game begin so that eventually everybody might know who has
carried the day. There is no need to hide behind the cloak of emails exchanged
within a close circle outside your caliph’s knowledge. Let him know what you are doing and
let him bless your efforts in this great jihad. Allah says “the end will be for
the righteous”. Let us wait and see. Anyhow I will never stop saying that the
teachings that are being given to Ahmadis need to be revisited. |
